December 5: 05/12/2020 Letters to Santa

Saturday is a super busy day for the girls. Even thought it’s the weekend it is a day we try to pack in their commitments with their schooling and hobbies. Our workdays are long and even though we are working from home due to COVID, instead of commuting in and out of the office we have been reluctant to commit to afterschool activities beyond the long After School Care and Daycare / Kindy hours. So Saturday is the day when the girls go to Swimming Lessons and are in the pool at 7:15am and come home for Tutoring with Ms C. They practice their Math, Reading, and Writing. This time they sat down with Ms Courtney to write a letter to Santa. Most years we have had multiple letters to Santa, and that might still happen but for now these are their first letters for 2020:

Dear Santa,

I would like for Christmas a (Disney) Zombies Doll her name is Addison and Zed because I like the movie because it tells everybody to be who they are.

Hello Santa,

I want it to be a good Christmas. Have a good Christmas.

It’s not unusual for Kirra not to ask for a gift, it (gifts) is most definitely Kaiya’s appreciate language. Kaiya is always finding special things, and drawings, and handmade cards, and wrapping them up for her sister. Kaiya often raids the recycling bin doe cardboard boxes and interesting packing to make art and packaging for gifts for people. Somehow she always manages to find wrapping paper as well.
