Christmas 2022 Story 2: Enchanted Garden 02/12/2022
Most years Brisbane Roma Street Gardens puts on a light show and this year we managed to get tickets and walk through the colourful magic again. It’s been a cold start to summer and we were wearing jumpers and Kaiya and I are recovering from a bad cold. We did a COVID test and were clear but still felt pretty ordinary. The story was about the water dragons that live in the park and at night time they come to life as magical spirits to care for the garden. The flower garden was really magical and the photos on the new camera I am struggling to get to know didn’t capture enough of the magic. It was a really short walk and we took out time but it was so colourful and bright. Had we felt better we probably would have sat down to enjoy the garden for a little longer. It’s so great seeing the girls reading the signs and playing along with the stories. We sat on the most perfect grass to have dinner in the park before going in and on the way out we picked up an ice cream for the ride home. Kirra fell asleep in the car, which doesn’t happen very often but when it does it’s a bit precious. These two cuties are fun to travel with for sure. Japan has something a little like this called Illuminations so we are looking forward to that this season.
