December 1: 01/12/2020 The Reason Why

Welcome to 2020! We are sharing our story by posting 31 memories of this festive season. The reason why it’s not the stuff, the expectation to comply with tradition, the way it has always been, and most definitely not the religion. Most definitely it has never been about the religion. It’s the magic making, the gratitude, the shared joy, and the sense of community. It’s that intentional season to think of someone else, the quality time, and the giving to others. This year it’s even more about the impact we have on each other. In 2020 world events and issues that have always affected us, have been amplified. This year highlights how small the world is, and how much power we have to be the change we want to see. The focus of this project is that it is a pause button, a record button, and a chance to playback, so we grow and develop from perspective. Our Abbott-Jard Christmas season has been recorded to represent every day in December since 2014. It’s been a collection of stories, that show change and development, and a wrap-up of the year. The project is a collection of moments in our lives, and who we are right now.

We are Michael aka Daddy, who is a beautiful Daddy who at the age of 42 tries to engineer and plan the transport of a city. We are Rina aka Mumma at the age of 43 who tries to make the world a better place environmentally, socially, and promoting human rights in supply chain through procurement.  We are Kaiya Kelly Puggle, who is a spectacular 6 year old, working hard at school and home to gather the skills to adventure through the world. We are Kirra Isla Kubbi, a fabulous 4 year old, who is graduating from Kindergarten and is celebrating her accomplishments in academia and most importantly play, which is the foundation of all learning and experimentation.

…. around here it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas so here are some photos of the girls posing as Santa at the shopping centre!

Welcome to December Daily 2020!
