Christmas 2022 Story 4: Santa 04/12/2022

On the fourth day of December, we visited Santa.

It’s our last Sunday before the end of school and we had a long morning starting to pack and a longer morning getting ready. It was also one of the best days we had to get photos with Santa. The girls are getting pretty good at posing and they have very good chats with Santa. We were really keen to ask the girls what they were going to ask Santa to bring them for Christmas. We have had lots of discussions about what they can’t have because we will be away, and they already have way too many toys. Essentially we shared that we were worried that they might ask for something big like the Cubby House and because the magic is so powerful and real we are afraid that whatever they wished for was going to appear.

Kirra told us as we were driving to see Santa that it was not the real Santa anyway. Kaiya confirmed that it’s just a man, like his brother or something. We said that Santa was too busy at the moment at the North Pole and he relied on a very big network of Santa’s to meet and greet all the children and send messages back to Santa so he knew what to deliver.

In the end the ask from Kaiya was reduced from every Harry Potter doll character, except for Hermione, (because she already has her), to just having three Nebulous Stars craft books.  Kirra asked for some science stuff so Yellow Scope or Dear Smart Girl STEM kits look cool. We shall see. Science is her latest obsession. Maybe next year will be different and we can go a little crazy but for now it’s been a priority to keep it under control. Thanks Santa!
