December 2021 Story 17: Last minute gifts for Secret Santa

Today was the last day we could take the girls shopping for the final gifts. The girls got each other’s presents for each other very early in the month. There was some serious discussion with each other about the LOL doll they wanted, the colour, accessories etc. Their gifts to each other wouldn’t be a surprise but it was the process of gift giving for them will change over the years and we are all in! It’s really fun to see their interactions change over the years. The presents were we getting were for our $10 Secret Santa game, a last minute idea from Daddy and something fun to test out the girls rule following, and negotiation skills.

The other cool thing about a trip to Carindale was that we ran into two small businesses, both specializing in Cupcakes, both with vegan options but one specializing all Vegan treats. That was pretty awesome. Little Sprinkle Co. and Poppy’s pantry made a few sales that day and the girls had a wonderful pack of cupcakes to give Nali when she arrived. We also made it onto Poppy’s Instagram stories. We looked up and there was a bit of a line. A couple of years ago Little Sprinkle Co. had a stall in the foyer of my work building in the city and their cupcakes have featured in our stories before so it was nice to see the little business thriving. They only had one vegan option but it was awesome!
