December 2021 Story 20: School (PCYC) Elf on the Shelf

Signs of Christmas include Christmas Cards from classmates, Christmas decorations at school and the Elf on the Shelf… of course right.

I think I get more excited than the girls do when I walk into their Before School and Afterschool care (PCYC) building and see fun signs of whatever season is being celebrated. There was a Wanted poster because it seems that Elfie was playing with the fishies in the aquariums they have living there. They’re really cool tiny fish in the tanks for the kids, and they are really calming to watch in the morning. Anyway the girls are always extremely serious about not touching the Elf, and this morning the Elf had busted out of the building in it’s plan to disappear for a year, with only a few sleeps now until Christmas. This little Elf must have been up to quite a bit of malarky because Kirra was very clear to warn me about the little one, and very concerned that the magic was running out. There seems to be so many rules about these little Elves and the magical world they live in.
