December 2021 Story 3: Orleigh Park Family Fun Day
Michael’s workplace puts on an Annual Family
Christmas Party, this year in West End, along the beautiful river. This year it
was in an old neighbourhood we used to spend lots of time in, so it was
beautiful to get back to West End again.
There was a team form Life be In It that organised the event. So many activities and games for the kids and great facilitators. A Ninja course, water play, tents for toddler time, games of skill and obstacle courses. A long line for face painting and was an opportunity to chat and get to know other families and a really healthy lunch (with vegan options).
We had a
crazy busy morning with Basketball and lots of driving around but once we got
there it was awesome. The best part is having the activities facilitated so all
we have to do is just play with the girls. I want to remember how strong these
girls are. Their minds are full of courage. Getting time to play and having
everything set up and then packed away is a gift in itself and an incredible way
to spend an afternoon.
There was also a Santa Clause handing out pressies.
Kirra had a few important things to share with Santa, so it was really
important for her to go up to him later and say thank-you. It was a really
beautiful afternoon.
