December 2021 Story 21: Santa Letters

Writing a letter to Santa is a tradition, and in a year where a few traditions didn’t play out it was good to at least have this one. The girls handwriting is always so very precious and the changes in the strength of their hands and ability to write and spell is incredible to watch over the years. At school they do exercises such as writing stamina, and sing songs and use big body movements to illustrate the letters. Kirra’s phonetic spelling and confidence is just beautiful and Kaiya’s attention to detail in the content of her list is awesome. Learning is accelerated for babies and children and we are right in the middle of it.

The girls are quite studious and self-motivated so they sit down and write the letters with very little prompting. They are concerned with not asking for too much but being very clear in their requests. This year it was al about Harry!! Harry Potter and Hermione Granger that is from the fantastical Harry Potter series of books and movies. They were clear not to ask for anything too big, as we are concerned about toy storage and space in their rooms to live and have space to enjoy. They are very proud of their bedrooms, and cherish their space so they know how to do a big tidy and sort and put away their clothes when push comes to shove. Whilst I may have missed out on photos of the letters this year the girls still managed to get them on the table on Christmas eve with a wonderful array of snacks for Santa.

Santa and the Elves successfully delivered on their Christmas promises. Welcome to the crew Ms. Granger and friends.
