Christmas 2021 Story 4: Christmas Tree Day

Here are photos from our Christmas Tree Day. It’s the day that is most like Christmas. It’s all about the food and launching the season with the activity of putting up the tree. I usually have the Christmas Decorations sorted out by this stage but there was no order in the chaos. This year Christmas crept up on us, and a few other families at school mentioned that they felt the same. We are in the season of being a working family with young ones so it’s not unusual. Until we stop work with the final meeting, submission and email it’s really hard to prioritize the festive list of chores.

The girls are growing up and the seasons will change so quickly over the next several years and we are here for it all.

Aunty Di was awesome and our Project Manager of the Tree Raising and Construction. Thanks Aunty Di. We very much appreciate it.

As well as putting up the Christmas Tree the day is also about food. Michael cooks all the things he won’t have time to cook on Christmas.

The Christmas music plays, there are special drinks and the Google lightshow features the red and green. We had a French Advent Calendar to officially open as well. So much decadence behind those little doors. The girls got their hair braided and Tim and Sam brought Rigby. He’s very fluffy and cuddly.

Great way still to kick off the festive season.
